Valuables worth Rs 10L looted from NTPC officer’s Noida flat

The incident was reported on April 7. V M Kumar who is Aditional General Manager (AGM) informed the police about the burglary on Thursday night when he came back from Pune and found his house ransacked.

“I and my wife had left my house for one week to meet my daughter in Pune. When we reached Noida on Thursday night, we found the door was broken and all valuables scattered on the bed,” said Kumar.

A senior police official said as soon as the incident was reported, a team, including forensic experts, was sent to the crime scene. However, the police have lodged an FIR against unidentified thieves in Sector-58 police station.

The cops said that the thieves seemed to know exactly where the jewellery and other valuable items
were kept, indicating that it could be the handiwork of someone known to the family or living in the same apartment which might include either the domestic help or the security guard.” The official added: “We have questioned the security guards of the society and checked the entry register. We have also accessed the footage of the CCTV cameras installed at the entry and exit points.”
