Vajpayee’s 91st birthday celebrated in grand fashion

The packed Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and industry (FICCI) auditorium on Friday was entertained to the tunes of singer Hariharan on the ninety-first birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The event was organised by the socio-cultural organisation, Lok Abhiyan Samiti headed by the Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Goel. 

The event was aimed to celebrate the birth anniversary of the veteran leader of Bharitya Janta Party (BJP) who was also one of the founding members of the party. The event witnessed the presence of BJP President Amit Shah, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Environment Minister Prakash Javedkar, Member of Parliament Mahesh Giri, Minister of Science and Technology, Union Minister of Rural Development Chaudhary Birender Singh and Akali Dal leaders, Naresh Gujral and Tarlochan Singh.

Speaking at the event, Vijay Goel mentioned that how the popularity of Atal Bihari Vajpayee is still present even though he leads a quiet life due to his bad health adding that his health was improving steadily. It was musical maestro Hariharan who then cast a spell on the audience with his music, ranging from ghazals like Gopal Krishna Hari Hari and Vithala to Dheemi Dheemi and Roja Jaaneman.
