Uzbekistan presidential elections free, fair, transparent and democratic: Jolly

The four major political parties and their nominees were current President Islam Karimov of Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, Hotamzhon Ketmonov of People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, Akmal Saidov of Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Milliy Tiklanish and Narimon Umarov of Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan- Adolat.
The total registered Uzbek voters were 20 million 798 thousand & 52 individuals. Nearly 91.01% voted. And the current President Islam Karimov of Liberal Democratic Party obtained 90.39% of the total popular votes.
It may be recalled that recently Indian poll observers invited for Uzbek presidential polls besides Jolly were Prof. JD Agarwal (Chairman Indian Institute of Finance ), Dr Rashmi Doraiswamy (Professor International Studies Jamia Millia Islamia University), Prof Arun Mohanty (Head of Russian Studies, JNU), ML Dhar (Veteran Ex- Diplomatic Editor Hindustan Times), Dr Jyotsna Choudhri (General Secretary India-CIS Chamber of Commerce & Industry), Blue Moon Magazine Editor Amit Mittal & Ameya Sathaye (Editor in Chief Diplomacy India.com).
Chairman Uzbek CEC Mirzo-Ulugbek Abdusalomov claimed to have invited 300 International observers from 43 countries. .
Indian poll observer Vijay Jolly specially noted that the voters who were not able to attend the polling station on the day of election were given the right for early voting.
Senior citizens who were physically unable to come were facilitated to vote at their homes in special CEC sealed ballot boxes.
