US executes man who killed couple before kids

An Oklahoma man has been executed for murdering a couple in front of their young children, bringing to 41 the number of people put to death in the United States this year, officials said on Wednesday. George Ochoa, 38, was pronounced dead at 6:07 pm on Tuesday after receiving an injection of lethal drugs. He had exhausted all his appeals before federal and Oklahoma courts. The Latino man was sentenced to death for the 1993 murder of Francisco Morales, 38, and his wife Maria Yanez, 35.
