Urdu to woo voters?

If you are wondering what’s the latest with the Aam Admi Party, here goes. Party chief Arvind Kejriwal was spotted with Urdu phrase in his Nehru cap recently. Perhaps to shed the right wing tag. His party and colleagues are often linked to right wing organisations like RSS and BJP, prompting the  minority community to maintain a distance with his political outfit. ‘I don’t want to comment on such petty issues,’ said a senior Congress minority leader, when asked to comment on Kejriwal’s latest, adding that he neither gives importance to Kejriwal nor his party. ‘He is just promoting Urdu language and there is no harm in it,’ he added ridiculing Kejriwal. According to a rough estimate, there are around 15 MLA segments in Delhi where minority votes decide which way it swings. Kejriwal’s mission Delhi would be incomplete without the support of Muslim voters. ‘Aam Admi party has started showing true colours of any classical political party,’ said Harshvardhan, senior BJP leader and former Delhi BJP president when asked for comment. ‘We don’t take the party seriously,’ he added.
