Upadhyay’s tips to Delhi Police to prevent crime against women

‘On the lines of the special police officers, they would play an important role in controlling crime particularly against women, senior citizens and drug trafficking,’ said Satish Upadhayay, after meeting with Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi. 

‘These university students shall also educate the people for social policing as volunteers,’ he added. The BJP delegation including South Delhi MP Ramesh Bidhuri among senior Delhi BJP leaders, also expressed their concerns on increasing attacks on North East Indians in the city.

Delhi BJP president demanded the police to show zero tolerance against any negligence on the issue of law & order. 

‘We have demanded to start special Helpline Number 1064 for lodging complaint against corruption,’ said Upadhayay. He also demanded to set up women police stations in each district and improvement in complaint redressing system at reception level at police stations. 

The delegation informed the police commissioner about large scale interference in construction work and harassment of hawkers by the local police and demanded that the interference of the police in both the cases should be stopped.
