Upadhyay for greater women’s participation

Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay on Sunday urged for increasing the participation of women in administration and politics for better future of the society. He also felicitated six prominent women on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
“It is a matter of pleasure for us to see the women rise every day in all fields and yet perform all family responsibilities with full dedication. Increased participation of women in administration and politics will ensure a better future of the society,” said Upadhyay.
The function was organised by Delhi BJP’s women cell president Kamaljeet Sehrawat. The women felicitated on the occasion are — Padamshri dancer Uma Sharma, prominent city doctor Asha Sharma, industrialists & FICCI leader Harjinder Kaur, media-person Nidhi Kulpati, EDMC Mayor Meenakshi & NDMC Councillor Rekha Gupta for their contribution in their respective fields and achieving iconic status for themselves.
Uma Sharma said that it is important that skill development opportunities are provided to girls and women to improve their chances of employment and empowerment.
