Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay has demanded the resignation of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for first defending his close confidant former Law Minister Jitendra Singh Tomar accused in fake degree case and is now again trying to “befool” the people with talks of expelling him from AAP. “It is not just a matter of the Chief Minister’s defending the wrongs of his MLAs and leaders, the CM is now himself indulging in dirty politics based of false figures to project himself as a <g data-gr-id="12">anti corruption</g> champion,” said Upadhyay. The latter also shows a video clip of Kejriwal to media persons in which the Chief Minister was claiming that ‘we shall not field any wrong person as a candidate for Assembly elections even if we have to leave that seat.” He further said that now the people of Delhi want the Chief Minister to act according to his words.
Upadhyay also alleged that by proceeding to expel Tomar, actually Kejriwal is attempting to help his close friend remain as an MLA till the litigation goes on. He demanded Kejriwal to ask Tomar to resign as MLA.
