UP Awadh Vihar project kicks off 26 January

The Uttar Pradesh Housing and Development Board (UPHDB)will launch its much-awaited Awadh Vihar residential project at Sultanpur Road in Lucknow on the Republic Day. The residential project would be for economically weaker sections (EWS). The residential flats would come out on 1,524 acre land. The state’s housing board is expecting to provide houses for about 5 lakh people. As per the plan 75 per cent of land would be green area while the 25 per cent area of the total land would used to construct houses. Awadh Vihar would be a state-of-the-art project having all the modern facilities. There would be five-star hotel, multiplex, shopping malls, super specialty hospitals and many more. In a bid to save power energy, the UPHDB has proposed solar street lights inside the Awadh Vihar. There would underground electric cables and drainage system in the Awadh Vihar. In addition to these there is proposal to construct railway over bridge that will connect Sultanpur as well as Uttredhia railway station. Housing commissioner Rudra Pratap Singh said that the project will start on the occasion of Republic day. It has all the modern facilities that would help in generation employment.
