Unrecognised schools must register themselves: DoE

The Directorate of Education (DoE) has asked more 450 unrecognised schools, situated at unauthorised and Lal Dora colonies in Delhi, to register themselves with the Department of Education.

‘Under the Right to Education Act, 2009, we have asked all such unrecognised schools, approximately 450 schools, located at unauthorised/underdeveloped or Lal Dora areas in Delhi to register themselves with Directorate of Education’, Padmini Singla, directorate of education said.

‘We have issued notices to all schools that if they must seek recognition in order to run their schools because without recognition we won’t allow them to run their schools. Sufficient opportunities have already been given to the all such unrecognised schools to apply for provisional recognition and two deadlines have already elapsed. Now a final opportunity has been accorded to all such schools’, added Singla.
