Unidentified body found in garbage dump near Qutab golf course

A decomposed and unidentified body of a female was found in Qutab golf course on Monday afternoon. After the initial probe, it appears that the body is around 20 days old. The matter came to light at around 1 pm after the police responded to call regarding a foul smell coming out of a garbage dump near a restaurant — Tavern on The Green. “When a police team reached the spot, a sack was found in the garbage dump and a highly decomposed body was found stuffed inside the sack,” Ishwar Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) said.

After the body was taken out of the sack, it was ascertained that the body was that of a female and the victim was between 30 to 35 years of age. The official added that the woman was probably killed somewhere else and to avert the possibility of being caught, her body was thrown into the garbage dump. “CCTV footage is being analysed and all the police stations in Delhi along with police stations across the NCR have been informed about the decomposed body to get some clues about her identity. ” another official added.
