U’khand CM inaugurates the Vaikunth Chaturdashi fair

Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat on Wednesday inaugurated the Vaikunth Chaturdashi fair in Srinagar (Garhwal). ‘Srinagar is the educational capital of Uttarakhand and also the source of inspiration. The state has witnessed development since its formation, but we should stress on overall development.
The time has come that we prepare and train doctors here and send them to remotest hill areas where they are needed the most. Similarly, educational level in this hill state can be upgraded by appointing more teachers to remotest places who can bring results’, he said while inaugurating the fair.
He announced grants of Rs 10 lakh for the gala event of Vaikunth Chauturdashi fair and Rs 50 lakh for making concrete internal roads of Srinagar and beautification of Gola Pak from CM fund. Besides this, he accepted the request of Rs 50 lakhs by local municipality for various development works. He announced the construction of making third trauma center in Srinagar besides Haldwani and Dehradun.
