In a bid to prepare final road-map for reconstruction and rehabilitation plan in Kedarnath, the Harish Rawat-led ruling Congress government is all set to hold a cabinet meeting in Kedarnath on Monday. The remaining three cabinet meetings will be held in other parts of the Uttarakhand.
‘Tomorrow’s (Monday)cabinet meeting will give a chance to state officials to gauge the present condition of Kedarnath valley after one year of massive devastation that changed the destiny of locals, businessmen and priests in Kedar valley,’ Kedarnath legislature Shailarani Rawat said.
Surendra Kumar, CM Rawat’s media-in-charge, said, ‘The allegations levelled by opposition BJP that it’s sheer waste of public money to conduct cabinet meeting at Kedarnath is baseless and hilarious. This meeting will give a chance to local inhabitants and disaster-victims to directly interact with ministers and concerned officials so that they can understand their problems and make road-map to problem-solving strategy.’
