Nearly two-thirds of young people in the UK were unable to say that the World War I ended in 1918, according to a new survey. The poll results also found 54 per cent of the same age range, 16-24, did not know the war began in 1914, the Daily Mail reported. In a survey of 2,998 people, released in the run up to Remembrance Day, 12 per cent of youngsters thought that the battle of Waterloo, fought in 1815 as part of the Napoleonic Wars, was part of the Great War.
