Two youths held for molesting girl

The Amritsar rural police have arrested two young men, both about 19 years old, for allegedly molesting and then forcing some poisonous substance into the mouth of a minor after she rejected their advances, police said here Sunday. The victim, a teenaged girl and a student of class eight, fell unconscious after being forcibly administered poison, and was admitted to a hospital here, where she is undergoing treatment. The youths, identified as Sukhman and Billu, have been booked on charges of attempt to murder and molestation by the police. The incident occurred Friday, in a village falling under the Rajasansi police station, about 260 km from Chandigarh.
