Two women found dead in separate incidents

The decomposed body of a 30-year-old woman was found under mysterious circumstances at her rented accommodation in South-East Delhi’s Govindpuri area on Tuesday morning. Police suspect the involvement of her husband, as he has been absconding since the cops recovered the body.

According to the police, the matter came to light when the father of the deceased — later identified as Renu Devi — reached her residence and found the house locked. Finding some foul smell, he broke open the door with the help of neighbours and found the decomposed body. 

One of the neighbours made a call to the police at around 9.30 am.

Investigation revealed that her husband, along with their two-and-half-year-old daughter, is missing. Police teams have been formed to find his whereabouts.

A case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at Govindpuri police station.

In a separate incident, the body of an unidentified young girl was found in a room in the Baljeet Nagar area of Central Delhi’s Patel Nagar on Tuesday night.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the girl, aged 20-25, was murdered as police found two stab wounds on her stomach. 

According to senior police officials, they got a PCR call at 8 pm that a woman had been found dead. Police have registered a murder case against unknown persons. Further investigation is on.

According to sources, in both the cases the cops have found some lead but are not divulging with the media, keeping in mind the sensitivity of the cases.
