Two teens killed in train mishap

In a tragic incident, two students of same school died after being hit by a train while crossing the track in outer Delhi’s Narela area on Wednesday evening. Police is not ruling out the possibility that the duo jumped in front of the train.

‘The deceased, Nandani, Class IX and Aman Prateek of Class XII were in Bharat Mata Public School and were returning home in Narela, when they met with the accident,’ said a senior police officer.

‘The incident took place around 4.30 pm. We are investigating the case and searching witnesses to link up the sequence. We are quizzing the families also to reach to a conclusion,’ said Sanjeev Bhatia, additional deputy commissioner of police (crime and railways).

No suicide note has been found. Prateek lived in Swatantra Nagar while Nandini lived in Pana Udyan in Narela area.
