Two special trains to meet Diwali demand

In order to clear the extra rush of passengers during the festival season, Railway has decided to run festival special train from Anand Vihar(T)-Samastipur and back. The Anand Vihar(T)-Samastipur Express festival special train will depart from Anand Vihar(T) on 12 November and 15 November (02 trips) at 11.35 pm (midnight hours) to reach Samastipur at 11.15 pm (midnight hours) the next day. In the return direction, the Samastipur-Anand Vihar(T) Express festival special train will depart from Samastipur on 14 November and 17 November (two trips) at 5 am to reach Anand Vihar(T) at 5.15 am the next day.

It consists of 20 general class coaches cum luggage vans. The  train will stop at Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, Barabanki, Burhwal, Gonda, Basti, Gorakhpur, Siwan, Chhapra, Sonpur, Hajipur and Muzzafarpur stations enroute in both directions.
