Two policemen brutally assaulted by three inebriated youth

Two police constables were allegedly beaten by three youths with iron rods after being asked to furnish papers of the motorcycle they were riding in Loni area of the district. The condition of one of the constables is stated to be serious after Saturday night’s assault. Constables Ram Subag and Lalit, posted at Indira Puri police post, were patrolling on a police-bike when they noticed three youths creating ruckus on road near Neelam Factory Roadon Saturday night, police said. The policemen asked the youth to stop and asked for the papers of their vehicle. However, they fled on the bike.
