Two minors sexually assaulted by juveniles in separate incidents

In two different incidents in the national capital on Friday, two minor girls were allegedly sexually assaulted by juveniles who lived in their neighbourhood.
In the first incident, a three-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour, who also happens to be a minor, at the servant quarters near Jodhpur house in New Delhi, on Friday.
The incident took place at around 9 am when the victim was playing outside her residence. The teenage boy, who lived in the same servant quarters, allegedly lured her to a room on some pretext and sexually assaulted her. Soon the girl started crying inconsolably and the locals turned suspicious.
One of them informed the police, which rushed to the spot immediately and apprehended the juvenile.
The accused juvenile was sent to a correction home after being produced before the Juvenile Justice Board on the same day, said a police officer.
‘A case under relevant sections of Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) and Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code was registered at Tilak Marg police station,’ he added.
In the second incident, a four-year-old girl was allegedly molested by four of her neighbourhood friends, all aged between seven to 13, near Patel Nagar in central Delhi, on Thursday.
The victim used to play with the accused juveniles at a place not very far from her house. On Thursday evening, they allegedly molested her while playing in the evening, said a police official.
The incident came into light when the victim narrated her ordeal to her mother, who later reported the incident to the police. Meanwhile, the victims were provided counselling by experts.
