Two held for drug trafficking

Delhi police crime branch has apprehended two people involved in international drug trafficking and has recovered drugs worth Rs 60 lakh.

The criminals have been identified as Tin Lian Tuang alias James and En Lun Piu alias Luna. A secret information had been received on two persons indulged in supply of controlled medicines to Mizoram. They were arrested while delivering the consignment near Shani Mandir, Dwarka Road. Twenty five kilos of fine quality pseudoephedrine tablets were recovered from the possession of James and Luna each.

‘Fifty kilos of Pseudoephedrine tablets, 10,000 Tripolidine Pseudoephedrine tablets and 375 injections of Buprenorphine worth Rs 60 lakh were recovered’ told Ravindra Yadav, Additional Commissioner of Police.

Both the accused families have a refugee status since they migrated from Myanmar. On interrogation James disclosed a name Pu Fela, who procures controlled medicines with out bills from pharmaceutical companies in Punjab, Himachal and Uttarakhand.

‘Pu Fela directs both the accused for the receipt and delivery of drugs’ added Yadav.

They have received the consignment from one Amit of Dehradun and were apprehended while delivering it.

James was working in a tea stall after being a typist and came in touch with Pu Fela through one of his friends. Luna was working as a helper in a factory in Uttam Nagar but joined James to assist earn some quick money. Both were residents of Uttam Nagar.
