‘Two gangsters behind Bharat Singh’s killing’

Two gangsters who recently came out of Tihar Jail and had property dispute and personal rivalry with the former INLD MLA Bharat Singh, are emerging as the suspects behind his killing, sources said on Monday.

Singh was killed Sunday evening after being attacked by some shooters, who still remain unidentified, even as a few suspects have been detained. Singh’s two guards are still battling for their lives at Medanta hospital.

According to sources, two accused who were recently released from Tihar jail are the prime suspects. They have been identified as Vikas Lagarpuria, a gangster on whom Delhi police had earlier announced Rs1 lakh reward and Udayvir, who was also the mastermind behind 2012 attack on Singh, outside his office in west Delhi. However, Singh escaped in the shoot out.

Sources close to the investigation told Millennium Post, “Twenty days ago Vikas came out of jail while Udayvir was already out from the jail. One week ago, Vikas had a property dispute with Singh and his brother Kishen Pahalwan. The dispute turned into a heated argument and later firing was also reported in Najafgarh area. Somehow Singh and Pahalwan managed to escape safe.”

Since then, Vikas was planning to eliminate Singh. To hatch the conspiracy he contacted Udayvir who already had a personal rivalry with Singh and his family as in 2012 Kishen Pahalwan allegedly had killed father and brother of Udayvir during a wedding ceremony in Sonipat. Since then Udayvir wanted to kill both Kishen and Singh.
