Two found dead inside septic tank

Two persons, Kripal Singh (50) and a 32-year-old labourer who is yet to be identified, died of suffocation inside a septic tank in Amrit Vihar area.

Eyewitnesses said that at around 12 pm Kripal had sent the labourer inside the septic tank for cleaning up and on not hearing from him for a long time, Kripal went inside the tank and due to the gas that had formed inside, he too choked to death.

Rani, the landlady of the house, rushed to inform Mangal, Kripal’s <g data-gr-id="18">son,</g> when she heard some noises and saw the two inside the septic tank.

“I tied a rope around my waist and entered the tank and brought out the labourer whose body had by that time turned blue,” said Mangal. 

It was further reported that Mangal searched for his father for around 15 minutes and on seeing his hand he attempted to pull out the body but in course, lost his consciousness and was pulled out with the help of a hook by locals. 

A case has been registered under Sections 304(A) and 288 and investigation taken up. According to police, <g data-gr-id="19">post mortem</g> will be conducted.
