Two dead, one injured after truck hits motorcycle

In a late night accident in West Delhi’s Ranhola area, two persons died while one escaped with minor  injuries when a truck hit their motorcycle from behind. The deceased have been identified as Nagindra(21) and Ram Snehi(21), while the one who escaped death is Shivkant (25).

The incident took place when the trio rode a bike in search of chicken. However, in absence of any open shop, the trio were returning to their house. In an attempt to enter a service road, which was also attempted by a speeding truck, a collision between the two resulted in the accident. After the incident, the truck driver managed to flee from the spot.  Shivkant made a PCR call following which he was rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital by the cops.

“They were unable to get chicken as the shops were closed.  On the way back to home when the trios reached the nearby bus stand, they saw a small truck approaching them. In a sudden move they tried to shift their lane and was hit by a truck,” read the FIR at Ranhola police station.

Cops said that raids are being made to nab the errant driver.
