Two arrested for supplying illegal weapons

The police have arrested two people, Vijay Kumar and Naresh Kumar, who were allegedly supplying illegal weapons, at Begum Pur on Wednesday. Two country made Pistols with four live cartridges and a desi katta have been recovered.
‘Based on a tip-off, Vijay Kumar was apprehended by our team along with a sophisticated pistol of .32 bore and two live cartridges,’ said B S Jaiswal, DCP, Outer range.
On interrogation, the accused Vijay Kumar disclosed that he purchased the recovered arms and ammunition from a person named Naresh Kumar.
‘We are investigating this matter,’ said a police official.
