Two arrested for autolifting

Delhi Police on Wednesday arrested two persons allegedly involved in several cases of auto-lifting and recovered four vehicles from them. On a tip-off that a person will come to Saraswati Vihar area on a stolen vehicle, the Anti-Auto Theft Squad (AATS) laid a trap and apprehended Bharat Bhushan alias Sanjay, who was riding on a stolen motorcycle, police said. Police seized the bike, stolen from Keshav Puram, and on the information given by Bhusan another person Lal Singh was arrested from Sangam Vihar, police said. ‘Bhushan revealed that a car stolen from Tilak Nagar area was sold to Lal Singh in Sangam Park. The car was then recovered from Lal Singh’s possession and he too was arrested,’ a police official said. Two more Maruti cars were later recovered.
