TV producer found dead under mysterious circumstances in Gzb

Mitali Dutta Manadal (31), a producer with Rajya Sabha television, was residing with her husband and a two-year-old daughter in a flat located on the 8th floor of Mahagun Magic Apartment in sector 4 Vaishali of Ghaziabad. She was found lying in a pool of blood at around 12.15 am on Tuesday. 

She was rushed to Max hospital in Patparganj area of East Delhi where she was declared brought dead. The information of her death was given to Ghaziabad police by Madhu Vihar police station of Delhi at around 2 am.  Mitali had earlier worked with NDTV channel in Delhi. Her husband Surya Jyoti Mandal works in an embassy and the couple has a two-year-old daughter.

According to sources, in his statement to the police, her husband said he had called her at around 10 pm on Monday night but she did not pick up the call. He also claimed that the guard on duty informed him that she was severely injured and lying in a pool of blood in the parking area near the basement. But the guard reportedly told a different story to the police. ‘I heard a loud noise and rushed to the spot to find her severely injured,’ said a senior police officer quoting the guard on duty.   

Surya Jyoti, however, maintained that the accident happened before she entered the flat and he was not aware what went wrong. But the neighbours claimed that the couple had heated arguments before the incident. ‘We are investigating all possible angles. We are waiting for the post-mortem report and are not in a position to comment at this stage,’ said Shiv Hari Meena, SP City of Ghaziabad. The police is also waiting her brother to come from London by Wednesday morning.
