Turn the heat up Delhi!

When you step out in the afternoon these days, the soothing comfort of the winter sun doesn’t last too long. You can feel the prickle of the irritating summer sweat making its presence felt. Terrible times ahead! But beware of the weather change, don’t get sick!

Keeping that aside for now let’s talk about better things. We checked out the new Turquoise Cottage at Saket. Better known as TC, the haunt has been a Delhi favourite for ages and now opens in a new avatar of sorts behind DLF Mall in Saket (right next to Select Citywalk).

For starters the location is great, full brownie points for that. Plus the very moment you walk in, this TC gives you an incredible feel of comfort. It seems to be just the place to troop in with your friends for a drink or a lazy weekend lunch/dinner.
They have a great bar, so there’s nothing you need to worry about and they also have a stage set. The good part of that is that you will not have to jostle for space if you watch a band performing there. You can sit comfortably and enjoy the show.

TC has an elaborate menu of offer as well so take your pick from some sushi, dumplings or some incredible Khoa Suey. They have it all. Do not miss the pork spare ribs.

They have their burgers and sandwiches which you could try to play safe. But what’s life without trying something you have never tried at a restaurant. We aren’t trying to drag you out of your comfort zone, but then, it’s always fun to open up. Try the sushi because they present it so well! It is as much fun to eat as it is to see it served up.

A meal for two comes to about Rs 1500 (with alcohol) so it is great on the pocket too. TC is the place to merge your music and your food so keep an eye out for their special nights. Each night of the week belts out a specific kind of music, so pick your favourite and head over. We would be doing it soon again!
Besides the food this week, the Comic Con is on full swing at Thyagraj Stadium (INA). They are on till 9 February so head over for some great merchandise and some better cosplay. This is the first time that the convention has been moved out Delhi Haat to this new venue and it is drawing huge crowds.
The first day of the fest saw a special session with Mohammad Faisal, the Creator of the insanely popular comic strip, Garbage Bin. There was also an interactive session with the team of Kuru Chronicles.

There were five exclusive book launches,  9XM launched their new and exclusive merchandise and Zee Cafe presented the special screening of the Hit TV Show House of Cards.

Also, one of the major and most interesting attraction at the Indian Comic Con is Inside Peanuts: The Life and Art of Charles M. Schulz exhibit. The exhibit has been shipped in exclusively for visitors at the convention takes the visitors through the journey of Peanuts & Charles M Schulz over the years.

The Delhi Arts Festival will be kicking off over this weekend too, so keep an eye out for the schedule.

They have some awesome musical performances, plays and movies for the Capital crowd.

The two-week festivalincludes several rare and hitherto unseen performances brought in from remote parts of Kerala, Assam, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal and several others. Martial Art forms of Kalari from Kerala and Chhau from Odisha will also be showcased.

Literature events include panel, discussions and talks at the Sahitya Akademi.

Recently Vért cosmetics launched their new store in Gurgaon.
