Truck rams into PCR van, SI injured

A police official was injured when a truck allegedly rammed into a parked police control room vehicle in Outer Delhi’s Alipur area during the wee hours of Tuesday.

The injured official, identified as Sub-Inspector Vijender, was rushed to a hospital, where he was treated for his injuries and later discharged. 

The incident was reported around 4 am. The driver of the truck allegedly lost control over the vehicle and hit the PCR van parked on one side of the road, not very far from a police picket, said a police official.

He further said that the driver was identified as Praveen, who belongs to Himachal Pradesh. 

He was arrested after being booked under Sections 279 (rash driving) and 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of IPC. The truck was also impounded, the police official added.
