Transfer talk: Kroos to Real Madrid, Di Maria to PSG

After winning the World Cup at the Maracana Stadium here Sunday, Germany’s Toni Kroos announced that he will move to Spanish club Real Madrid. Currently with Bayern Munich, the midfielder confirmed his move to ‘Los Blancos’ after the final where Germany defeated Argentina 1-0, reports Efe.
‘The World Cup has ended in the best possible way. Now I’m going to play in Madrid. So two dreams are fulfilled,’ said Kroos. Real Madrid, which is said to have paid the Bavarian club 25 million euros for the player, may present Kroos next week.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has reportedly met with his Paris Saint Germain counterpart Nasser Al-Khelaifi of Qatar to discuss the transfer deal of Argentine midfielder Angel di Maria.
Spanish sports daily AS reported that the deal may be worth 60 million euros. English club Manchester United was also interested in the 26-year-old, who admitted that he wants to leave Real Madrid and join the French club, reports Efe.
‘Los Blancos’ will officially announce di Maria’s exit in due course.
