Trainee cop ends life, blames self in note

A trainee sub-inspector with Delhi Police allegedly committed suicide by coming under a train at Hazrat Nizamuddin near the Ashram-Srinivaspuri railway tracks. The tragic incident was reported on Monday night at around 1.30 am.

The cops got a call that a dead body is lying near the railway tracks. The cops reached the spot and found the body of the trainee sub-inspector who has been identified as Thippeswami, a resident of Karnataka. He was undergoing training in the Police Training College in Delhi.

“We informed the family of the deceased and his father came to take his body. A suicide note has also been recovered from him,” said a senior police officer. Thippeswami blamed himself for his death. He states in the suicide note: “I am very very sorry my dear family and friends. I was suffering from depression since very long time.

I am unable to cope up with that so I am taking my own life. Please forgive me for the pain I am causing you people by selfish act. Thank you all for being part of my life. I am so much in pain so I have to go. Once again sorry. Please do not trouble anyone for my death. I am the sole reason for this selfish act.” The letter is also signed by the deceased.

The cops say that he was unmarried and though no one has any clear idea why he was in depression, Thippeswami in his suicide note just mentioned about the depression but not the cause of the same. The cops later sent his body for post-mortem. The cops are also seeking information from his colleagues if they have any idea why he ended his life.
