Traffic snarls to greet people this Janmashtami

Special security and traffic arrangements have been made for temples in Delhi, including Lakshmi Narayan and Hanuman temples in central Delhi, Iskcon and Chhatarpur temples in south and Gauri Shankar temple in Chandni Chowk, keeping in view the coming Janmashtami festival.

‘General public is advised to avoid roads leading to temples and route of the procession. There is a possibility of slowing down of traffic, creating congestion on the roads’, said Satyendra Garg, Joint Commissioner of Traffic.

‘Citizens are advised to use public transport to avoid congestion on roads. Motorists are advised to follow directions of traffic policemen’, he added. Roads which are expected to be expecially congested are Ring Road, Club Road, Britania Crossing, Wazirpur Flyover, Punjabi Bagh, Moti Nagar and Karampura.
