Traffic advisory to avoid chaos during Investors’ Summit in Ggn

The traffic police department has chalked out a plan to avoid snarls during the ‘Happening Haryana Investors Summit-2016’ from March 7-9, in the city.

Within a week of a Sumer Pratap Singh (DCP Traffic) writing to the Municipal Commissioner, the department has again written with specific requirements for road safety. The requirements include road safety measures on the expressway as well within the city.

Keeping in mind that last year recorded over 190 pedestrian deaths in accidents, the traffic wing has asked for pedestrian lights at all major crossings across Gurgaon, especially at IFFCO Chowk, MG Road, Rajiv Chowk, etc.

Also, since traffic slowdown is reported at Shankar Chowk due to a heavy pedestrian movement, along the highway, the traffic police have asked to increase the height of the boundary, existing along the road.

Additional barbed wiring too shall be installed on the wall to make sure the pedestrians do not jump over it.
