Delhi State Industrial Infrastructural Development Corporation (DSIIDC) held draw of lots to allot 127 industrial plots/flatted factories to the long wait listed applicants under the relocation of industries to DSIIDC business centres scheme.
On Friday, 53 plots of 100 sqm, 64 plots of 150 sqm and six plots of 250 sqm as well as two flatted factories of 27.75 sqm were allotted.
The DSIIDC spokesperson said with Friday’s allotment, the number of plots allotted by DSIIDC so far under the relocation scheme aggregates to 22,472.
‘With this allotment, the waiting list in 100 sqm, 200 sqm, 250 sqm and flatted factory categories have been completely exhausted, and only 135 applicants in 150 sqm category remain,’ the spokesperson added.
The corporation will endeavour to identify plots and make allotments to the remaining applicants also at the earliest, sources said.
The allotted plots are located in the industrial estates developed by the DSIIDC at Bawana and Bawana-II (Bhorgarh), including flatted factories at Jhilmil Industrial complex.
DSIIDC spokesperson said, the draw was held in the presence of about 100 applicants, representatives of industrial associations, and a panel of judges comprising senior officers of Delhi government, including IT experts. The computerised draw was projected on screen, and the printouts were displayed immediately on conclusion of draw.’
It is worth noting that the relocation scheme was launched by the Government of Delhi in 1996 with the approval of Supreme Court to enable the industrial units to relocate from residential/non-conforming areas to approved industrial areas, thereby decongesting Delhi.
