Three police personnel booked

The officials have been identified as constables Vijay, Vir Singh and a head constable who was not named by the police. All three of them were posted at the police station in east Delhi’s Kalyanpuri area.
“The complainant made an audio recording of a conversation between him and the corrupt cops on phone on the morning of December 9. He later sent it to Delhi Police on December 12 and an investigation was initiated immediately,” said a senior official from the vigilance branch.
The trio had first visited the complainant around 10.30 am on December 9 for the money, when he was repairing his dwelling in a slum cluster at Kalyanpuri.
They threatened him and went away. After a few hours, one of them called up the complainant and this was the conversation which the complainant recorded and later handed over to the police, said the senior official.
