Three people injured in Malda bomb blast, BSF on high alert

Three people were injured as a crude bomb went off in the Malda district of West Bengal. The bomb was being removed in a hurry during a police raid, it was known. The incident comes close on the heels of the unearthing of a terror module in Burdwan. However, the police say this was a local criminal incident in the area. They say it was the fallout of a long standing tussle between two families.
Ziaul Sheikh and his son Nawab Sheikh of Hatichapa village along with some others were allegedly trying to make bombs in the house of one Murshed Sheikh, a senior officer of Baishnabnagar police station when the bomb blast took place. People injured in the incident are reported to have been arrested. Police are now investigating if this incident h Burdwan blast.
