Three killed in separate accidents in 48 hours

Three persons lost their lives in separate cases in the city in the past two days.

The first case was reported from near IFFCO Chowk late Friday night. The police said one Dayanad Pandey (35) died on the spot after his motorcycle was hit by a truck. The errant truck driver, Laxman Singh, was arrested on Sunday, police said. According to the police, Pandey worked as traffic supervisor for Maruti Suzuki India Limited at Sarhaul Mod.

“A passerby saw the accident and stopped the truck but Laxman Singh managed to flee. We traced the owner of the truck, who brought the driver along with him to surrender on Sunday. He was produced before the court and was later released on bail,” said ACP Hawa Singh. 

Another accident was reported from the Badshahpur area on Friday, in which the victim, Shrinath (55), was seriously injured. He was declared brought dead when taken to a private hospital.  

In the third incident, victim Dalbir Singh, a driver with HSIIDC in Udyog Vihar, met with an accident in Bhiwani on Saturday. Police said an oil tanker hit his bike and ran over him. Dalbir died on the spot.
