Three journalists nabbed for extortion in Noida

The politician alleged that after a sting operation was conducted on him, the journalists, demanded Rs 4 lakhs from him to keep the entire affair a secret.
The police said that the victim, Awadesh, in his complaint had said that his neighbours, Suman, Shalini, Manoj and Neeraj called him to a guest house at Sector 21 for an interview.
When he reached the guest house, Suman started indulging in indecent acts with him. When he objected, they threatened to malign his image by bringing the matter to the public domain. They allegedly even stole his Honda City car.
On Thursday, they again called Awadesh and asked him to come to the guest house with Rs 4 lakhs. The police there arrested Suman, Shalini and Manoj red-handed receiving the extortion money.
According to a senior police official, ‘A case has been registered and the accused have been booked under Sections 392, 386 and 120B of IPC. We have also retrieved the car from their possession.’
All the three accused are media persons and work in electronic and print media houses in Delhi-NCR.
