Three injured in fire incident

At least three persons were injured on Wednesday when a fire erupted at a dry cleaning shop in Jor Bagh in the capital spread to the entire building, fire brigade officials said. The incident took place in Jor Bagh Market area this evening when a ‘blast’ was heard from inside the shop which is located on the ground floor. People living on the first and second floor came running out of their house and informed fire brigade who arrived with three tenders. Though the fire was put off immediately, three people were injured. Eye-witnesses claimed they heard a ‘blast’ and said they suspect that the fire started from the dry cleaning shop. The locals claimed they had complained to police and civic agencies several times that the shop should not be located in a residential building.
