Three children suffer injuries after building collapses

Three minor children suffered serious injuries after they were rescued by a waiter after a 100-year-old building collapsed in the Paharganj area of Central Delhi on Monday night. 

Police said that after hearing people creating a ruckus, Surjeet, the waiter, rushed to the spot and found the three children trapped under the debris.

According to the police, Surjeet Dutt, working as a waiter in a small restaurant in Paharganj allegedly heard people screaming in a nearby street. 

He rushed to the spot and found that the building had collapsed and three children were trapped under the debris.

Police said that the incident took place at around 11.30 pm when Suneel, living in a slum, was sleeping with these three children. 

An adjoining old building collapsed on them and his three children Priya, Karan and Sonam got trapped. He along with Surjeet somehow managed to rescue the children after which they were rushed to a nearby hospital.
