Thieves caught on cam stealing jewelley

Police said that the incident took place at around 5.30 am. Caught on the CCTV cameras, the group of five men were seen breaking open the shutter of the store and fleeing with more than half kilograms of jewels.

According to the police, in the CCTV footage, five persons can be seen at the entrance of the store. While three of the accused were seen trying to break open the lock, the other two stood with a cloth to hide themselves while breaking into the store.

 Once they broke into the store, two of them are seen with flashlights as they search the premises. They look at an exhibit and try to open it. In a few minutes they break open the exhibits and rob various jewels including gold chains, silver ornaments etc.

After the theft, the men can be seen trying to leave the store. Two of them stand with a cloth while three of them close the shutter behind them and flee the area. Police said that they received information about the robbery in the morning.

 A team was sent to procure the CCTV footage. A senior police official said, “We have identified five of them and are trying to track them down. They will be apprehended soon.”
