The Lutyens’ MYSTIC

The ocassion was marked by some of the dignitaries gathered in the city to launch the book- Man’s Spiritual Journey, authored by Delhi Development Authority (DDA) Vice-Chairman Balwinder Kumar on 12 April.

The chief guest of the occasion was Swami Nikhilananda Sarawati, regional head of Chnimaya Mission. Amidst immense cheer, enthusiasm of the wonderful audience,  the book was launched by Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Najeeb Jung. The occassion also marked the presence of Vineet Narain, senior journalist and social activists.

When asked by Vineet Narain on what inspired Kumar to write the book, he said, ‘I had several thoughts flooding his minds and being a voracious reader, I finally decided to pen down my scattered thoughts and finally wrote the book. The book is my own experience of spiritualism and the way my ideas took shape’. Kumar said.

Swami Nikhilanada greeted the audience with words of wisdom, encouragement and motivation. He spoke on man’s suffering, its causes and effects.
‘Whatever  we do in life is mainly focused towards finding solution and peace. For others suffering is mainly due to insufficient funds, but there are also people with ample funds who suffer comfortably’ he added. He also congratulated Kumar for his motivational book in times of high stress and depression and wished him good luck for all future endeavours.

Jung spoke on mystics, reality, truth and illusions at length. ‘Mysticms is the love of the absolute and that wisdom of hearts can make more insights anytime. With several definitions of reality, it is tough to remain calm, sedate and at peace. It is important to understand the preaching of Sufism which brings one closer to God’, he commented.
