With Haryana elections round the corner, an interesting battle is likely to emerge in Thanesar seat in Kurukshetra district. Thanesar, the capital of medieval king Kanishka of Kushan dynasty, is going to witness an epic battle between sitting MLA Ashok Arora, who is state unit president of Indian National Lok Dal and former chairman municipal chairman and former member of state finance commission Subhash Sudha. Like several others, Sudha too has migrated from the Congress to the BJP.
Talking to Millennium Post Subhash Sudha said PM Narendra Modi has influenced him with his pragmatic ways and that if the party gives him ticket, he would make development the buzz word and Thanesar will be brought to international map as heritage city. On seat which has representations of several communities in equal proportion, Sudha had lost in the last assembly poll as an independent candidate by 5,000 votes. With a party banner, he is expected to emerge stronger. Smaller parties like HJP and BSP are also in the fray.
