John Terry’s stoppage-time goal handed Chelsea a crucial 1-0 victory against Everton to cement their lead at the top of the Premier League on Saturday.
After 90 minutes of toil, it was the old combination of Terry and Frank Lampard that made the breakthrough with just two minutes of stoppage-time remaining when the former steered in the latter’s free kick from close-range.

Wayne Rooney said. ‘We have some great players here and despite our recent form everyone has stuck together and the team spirit is still good. Let’s not forget we still have a chance this year. I know the direction that this club is going in.’
