Terror threat forces plane to land in China

An international passenger plane made a forced landing in China’s Gansu province on
Monday after receiving an anonymous terrorist threat, Xinhua reported citing airline and security sources.The plane was heading to Beijing from Istanbul, Turkey. According to sources with China Southern Airlines, the plane, travelling from Istanbul to Beijing via Urumqi, made a forced landing in Gansu Zhongchuan Airport hours after taking off from Urumqi, capital of China’s Xinjiang Uygur region. The plane was scheduled to land in Beijing at 5.50 pm. But it made a forced landing in Gansu at around 5.30 pm.
