Temple demolition scare fumes locals in jahangirpuri

An agitated crowd of around a hundred people had gathered outside a temple located at the D-Block of Jahangirpuri on Sunday, when they came to know that the temple was going to be demolished. ‘Police reached the spot immediately and the crowd was pacified only when it was confirmed that the temple was going through a renovation,’ said a police official. As narrated by a resident of the locality, this temple was built by a priest named Natthu Lal, outside his residence around fifteen years ago. He was going through a financial crisis and decided to sell his house. He came across a potential buyer who demanded the temple to be demolished as it was occupying a lot of space. This fumed the locales who used to pay visits to the temple frequently.
