Temperature soars in the capital

Delhiites sweated profusely as the mercury rose above 40 degree Celsius for the first time in this summer, with hot winds blowing through the day making life tough for people.

The day temperature rose above 40 degree Celsius to settle at 40.6 degree Celsius, which is two degrees above normal.

The minimum was recorded at 27.2 degree Celsius, which is also two degrees above normal at this time of the season, the MeT office said.

Hot winds made life tough for Delhiites, who have been experiencing a much comfortable and pleasant weather for the past few days.

The humidity was recorded between 46 per cent and 22 per cent, the MeT office said.

The weatherman has predicted similar weather conditions for tomorrow as well, with the maximum and minimum temperatures to be around 41 and 27 degrees respectively.
