Tejashwi hails Nitish for proposing prohibition of liquor in Bihar

Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Friday hailed Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for proposing to impose prohibition of liquor in Bihar with effect from April 1 next year and said the CM was fulfilling his poll promise to the people of Bihar.

“We welcome the Chief Minister’s decision to impose prohibition in Bihar.... he is implementing what he had promised to the people of Bihar ahead of elections,” he said.

Hailing the move, the Deputy CM took a dig at the BJP saying that “the grand alliance is not a ‘Jumla Party’ as we have delivered on our promise.”

RJD supremo Lalu Prasad’s younger son sought to have a ‘no nonsense’ approach to governance saying he did not approve of people coming to meet him without work. “We have been voted to power to work and not be surrounded by people without work,” he said.
