Techies cultural fest concludes

Effervescence – 2013, the annual cultural fest of the techies, concluded here on Sunday evening with an enthralling live performance by Pakistani Raeth band at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad campus.
Bhula Do, the hit Pakistani band, presented an action-packed performance that kept over thousand odd participants completely engrossed for over three hours. During the concert, Wajhi Farouqui sang popular numbers from his two hit albums Bhula Do and Hum Yaadon Ke Sang. Mein Chala, Tum Meri Ho, Waada and Bhula Do indeed enthralled the technocrats, who have come from different institutions of the state to be part of this live sensation on the concluding day of the five day fest.
MD Tiwari, director of IIIT-A, called upon students to keep alive their creativity alongwith their studies. He congratulated the winners of several events.
Sarasva –the literary club of IIIT-A organised Cognoscentia , the flagship quizzing event of IIIT-Allahabad which has maintained its legacy in the past for being one of the best in India. The quizzing event in the past had received participation from premier institutes like IIT-Kharagpur and from far-flung places such as NIT Rourkela, and the likes.
