Team Kejriwal watches movie, asks party volunteers to relax

Arvind Kejriwal also believes in Bollywood style entertainment and a self-confessed movie buff. So in order to take a break from three-month-long poll campaign, AAP chief watched Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Baby’ at Wave Cinema, Kaushambi with Kumar Vishwas and Manish Sisodia. The former Chief Minister it seems was relaxing after weeks of hectic political campaigning for the Delhi polls.

It was not only Kejriwal but others also sought to chill themselves out. Congress leader Ajay Maken chose to spend time with his family, while BJP leader Nupur Sharma was preparing to say good-bye to her dad who was leaving for Germany. Some also played with pets to relax after the end of hectic poll campaigning.

Not only the party leaders, it was also a relaxing time for volunteers and workers of three parties – AAP, BJP and Congress after the curtains to the decisive polls downed on Saturday. “Yes, he (Kejriwal) saw the film,” a police officer Anant Deo said. While one Aam Aadmi Party leader said earlier that Kejriwal would view “Baby”, another said he was on his way to see “Shamitabh”.  Even when he became the Chief Minister of Delhi in December 2013, Kejriwal used to say that what he missed most was going to the cinema with his family without being mobbed by admirers.

Until Saturday, when Delhi voted, Kejriwal would wake up by 6 a.m. and get busy with party affairs and election meetings. Congress candidate from Greater Kailash Sharmistha Mukherjee said the election results were the last thing on her mind right now. “I am relaxing by spending time with my pet dog. My whole house is in a chaos, so I have to put that in order as well. And, in the evening, I will go and spend some time with my parents at the Rashtrapati Bhawan,” Sharmishta, daughter of President Pranab Mukherjee said.
